Iron Log #5
Hi everyone and welcome back to the devlog!
Over the last few weeks I've been busy rewriting lots of code for multiplayer. That's right, once this is out you'll be able to play with friends! It's been slower going than I initially anticipated. There is definitely a learning curve to figuring out how to properly architect things for multiplayer. I've had to refactor a significant chunk of the game's logic to handle the nuances of network communication, state synchronization, and all that fun server-client stuff.
Despite the pace being a bit sluggish, I'm definitely seeing progress. Seeing two players running around in the same world, even if it's just a basic test environment, is pretty darn cool. There's still a long road ahead, with plenty of bugs to squash and optimizations to make, but I'm confident I'll get there.
As always, thanks for reading and head over to the discord to learn more https://discord.gg/xmmPeZHj4T
