Iron Log #11
I made a lot of progress on the game last week, primarily with a new technology and research system. It’s not quite ready so I don’t want to release it in an update yet, but I also made a number of nice bug fixes and quality of life improvements like a sort button in the inventory and made the night not so dark. The character also can now run backwards without glitching! But all these changes are in the same code branch as the tech tree so I can’t easily just release an update with only those. To explain, while I’m working on big feature like the tech tree I’ll see a simple fix and make that change right away. Because I’m not working in a team I can get away with making these changes lumped together without anyone reviewing the code. That said I will try to make a better effort to keep bigger changes separate so that I can release weekly or bi-weekly updates that contain all the little bug fixes and improvements.
On the art side of things I hired a freelance 3d artist to make new models for the game. Here is the design of the new furnace! Let me know what you think.
